Hello Readers. I am going on a trip to England and I decided to coordinate my travel wardrobe. I am packing all new refashion projects and I will be posting about my journey and my outfit of the day along the way. This post is about a dress that was just OK but got more fun.
Before and after.
This dress had such a fun blue and yellow floral design. It was not that it didn't fit it just did not flatter me at all. The length was not good at all. I could have just shortened it but I decided to break it in 2. I thought it would be more useful as a 2 piece outfit and I could make the skirt more flattering at the same time.
I had to unpick all the stitches that made the waist seam. It took a while but it was not difficult.
It looked like this. I hemmed the top and left it at that. The skirt needed a waistband of some kind.
It just so happened that I had this matching bright yellow elastic. This was it's time to shine.
I loved the bright yellow waistband. It looks a little like a belt. I can also wear the top untucked with the skirt or with something else.
Thanks for reading along, now go make something fun for yourself.

My trip was so much fun.- This was a great sundress for this hot sunny day. I like the yellow elastic a lot.
***Year End Update- This was a great dress but showed a little more cleavage than I thought it would. I put the top aside so I could shorten the straps. I didn't get to it and it is still waiting.
