Make a Cooling Station

Hello Readers. Summer is a time to enjoy the sun and outdoors but that heat can get to be too much sometimes. Getting over-heated can be uncomfortable and even dangerous. The best way to prevent that is to stay hydrated. I wanted to make a cooling station for the delivery drivers that come to my house with mail and packages.

Help yourself and stay cool.

I decided to clean the porch first, it was dusty and there were some stray leaves around. I wanted it to look inviting so I swept up.

I wiped down the table too. It was a little dusty and dirty. If someone is hot they might want to sit in the shade for a minute so cleaning the chairs will make it nicer for them.

I grabbed a cooler because I want to put out cold water on the table.

I made a sign so that delivery drivers would know to help themselves. I tried to make it large enough that it would be easy to read as they walked up to the porch.

I taped the sign to the front of my cooler. I used strong tape so the sign won't blow away in the breeze.

Then I added some freezer pops. These are sweet and fun and most important, cold. I made sure there was plenty of ice. They are easy to grab and go back to work too.

I also added bottles of water too. Water is so important in the heat. I put in a bunch of bottles and added more ice on top.

Here is what it looked like when it was all put together. It only took a few minutes to set up and it doesn't take up too much room on my very small porch.

If you don't have a cooler or space to put out a cooler, here is a smaller but similar set up. This little thermal dispenser keeps water cold for a long time. I put lots of ice and added fresh water. I put out disposable cups and a sign so everyone would know to help themselves if they wanted some.

Thanks for reading along, and enjoy your summer as much as you can.
