The BIG Dolman Sleeve Shirt Made Smaller

Hello Readers. My project today is a pretty simple T-shirt. It doesn't look special in pictures. My camera couldn't handle the stripes either, so these shots look a little off.  It had trouble focusing on the tiny stripes. The best thing about this shirt is how soft it is. It feels like angels in heaven knit this shirt together. I had never felt such a soft shirt. It was on the clearance rack for $4 dollars. Yes, even I buy new things on occasion. It was not my size, but it was too soft to leave at the store.

It has a big loose fit because of the full Dolman sleeves and it is an extra large. I am usually about a medium, so I had to cut it down. The loose comfortable fit is really nice. I didn't want to change the shape, just make it a little smaller.

Here is a picture of what I cut off. I don't have a serger so I just used a zigzag stitch so the side seams would have some give when I was putting it on or taking it off.

It was a quick project and I already had a second piece to go with it. I can show that to you tomorrow.

Thanks for reading, now go make something fun for yourself.

I know just how your camera feels. Some patterns make my eyes focus funny too.

This looks SO comfortable. And the dolman sleeves mean there is no shoulder seam to have to take up in the larger size. I'm going to look out for this type of sleeve; I always have to take things in at the shoulder seam and it gets tiresome!

I like the sleeves too. I will keep looking for shirts like that as well. Happy sewing to you!
